Mark Minervino - Pastor

Product of a broken home, Mark was a broken man living a broken life until March 22, 1988, the day he and his wife Kristen opened their hearts to saving, healing faith in Jesus Christ.  Since that day, Mark has been humbly and gratefully helping other broken people find salvation and wholeness in Christ, and helping other Christians and churches to freely share God's grace.  He believes that our God, fully and finally revealed to us in Christ, is a God of love -- that salvation cancels sin, that compassion covers conditions, and that promises outweigh punishment -- all because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

Mark was educated at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Carolina University of Theology, Andersonville Baptist Seminary, and Andover-Newton Theological School.  He has served churches in the Southern Baptist Convention and the American Baptist Churches, USA.  He has participated in mission work in four of the United States, and in the southeastern African nation of Swaziland.

A native of Portland, Maine, Mark is married to the former Kristen Johnson of Cape Elizabeth, Maine.   He is a service veteran of the United States Navy, considers himself to be a permanent fan of the Boston Red Sox, and thinks of eastern Carolina-style barbeque and hushpuppies as fine dining.  Together, Mark and Kristen have five children.  Mark has been pastor of North Cary Baptist Church since November, 2002
